Unibet Tietema Rockets revoked wildcard for the Bretagne Classic on a short notice

Boosted by a relatively successful 2025 season, the Unibet Tietema Rockets had two WorldTour races in their planner for August. Besides the upcoming Renewi Tour, the team led by Bas Tietema was supposed to ride the Bretagne Classic at the end of September. But situation has changed and the organizer was put in a position where one team must've been removed from the startlist. Unfortunately for Rockets, they drew the short straw and thus their debut in Plouay will have to wait for another year.

"As a French team, we were really looking forward to this. We wanted to show ourselves for the first time in this WorldTour race," says Tietema. "But this is a changing season, also for the race organizers themselves. So we respect the decision. We're having constructive discussions with the LNC and French race organizers about future possibilities. At the same time, we remain focused on putting together an ambitious program for our riders and fans."

With the WorldTour Classic out of Rockets' schedule, the French team can now turn more attention towards the other races coming up, such as the Tour du Limousin or Renewi Tour.
