Elisa Longo Borghini reveals her final preparation competitions in France before the Kigali World Championships

Elisa Longo Borghini could already be satisfied with her season after her second consecutive victory at the Giro d'Italia Women. But the Italian wouldn't be in the position she is in now if she didn't have the drive to aim for even more. And with an interesting World Championships course awaiting riders in Rwanda, the UAE Team ADQ rider has only one target set in her mind.

Tour de France Femmes didn't go well and Longo Borghini ultimately didn't start the third stage. Since then she has taken a short racing break, but her next races are already approaching.

Back to France, Longo Borghini should spearhead the Emirati team's lineups for Kreiz Breizh Elites Féminin and Classic Lorient Agglomération (rebranded Bretagne Classic also known as GP Plouay) at the end of August according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.

That Longo Borghini is serious about her bid for the rainbow jersey is backed by Italian federation which has recently allocated extra resources to send a team of six (instead of previous four) riders to Kigali. The reason is obvious - to improve the Italian champion's chances of victory.
