UCI Rankings Teams Update | Cofidis gains a buffer over Arkea/Uno-X/Astana in fight for World Tour

UAE Team Emirates - XRG has had a massive week, and in the opposite side we've had XDS Astana who've slowed down their rhythm and their offensive on the World Tour has stalled. Surprisingly, we learn this week that Team Visma | Lease a Bike is not even within the Top18 best scoring teams of the year thus far.
You can check the previous update. An extra 900 points added to UAE Team Emirates - XRG's tally this past week, mostly because of Tadej Pogacar and Tim Wellens podium spots at Strade Bianche - but also Juan Ayuso winning Trofeo Laigueglia. Big week for the Emirati team, who gained a big buffer over XDS Astana who scored just over 100.
In fact Uno-X Mobility this week overtook both Astana and Arkéa - B&B Hotels after scoring just over 300 points - half of them from Magnus Cort Nielsen's Strade Bianche 6th spot. Astana and Arkéa barely scored points. These three teams have less than 100 points separating them currently, and all three sit around 2700 points behind Cofidis (who are themselves less than 200 points away from Team Picnic PostNL).

Interestingly, so far this season 5 World Tour teams are not within the Top10 best scoring teams this year: Team Visma | Lease a Bike; Team Picnic PostNL; Alpecin-Deceuninck; Arkéa - B&B Hotels and lastly Intermarché - Wanty. This is because Uno-X Mobility, Tudor Pro Cycling Team, Israel - Premier Tech, Q36.5 Pro Cycling Team and TotalEnergies are - and surprisingly, Lotto is behind every single one of these teams thus far in 2025!
