Tudor makes Giro d'Italia debut and dreams of sprint victory with Alberto Dainese - Matteo Trentin and Michael Storer eye the hills and mountains

Tudor Pro Cycling Team are the newest team in the professional peloton to race a Grand Tour. The Swiss team was completely changed in 2022, and two seasons later they make their debut in the Giro d'Italia where they have very realistic ambitions of snatching a stage win in multiple types of stages.

The two riders who have won at World Tour level for the team this season will not be present. Arvid de Kleijn will keep focusing on the secondary calendar chasing UCI points whilst his leadout man, Maikel Zijlaard who recently won the prologue at the Tour de Romandie, crashed out of the race and is injured. In their absence, it was an easy decision for the team to go all-out on it's other head sprinter Alberto Dainese who is a stage winner at the Corsa Rosa for the past two years.

Hence the team is in experienced hands when it comes to the flat stages. Dainese will be support by Marius Mayrhofer, Alexander Kamp and Matteo Trentin in the leadouts - with the latter two also having a shot at chasing wins on the hilly days. Robin Froideveaux and Alexander Krieger will likely help in the leadouts as well, alongside chasing long breakaways to provide the team with exposure.

The team finally features Michael Storer, seventh at the recent Tour of the Alps, who will likely chase stage wins in the many mountains stages that the race presents. Florian Stork will also have these days as a goal.
