Tudor loses second rider in as many days; Dainese's leadout man Marius Mayrhofer withdraws from Giro d'Italia

Tudor Pro Cycling Team lost Alexander Krieger at the end of stage 9 due to a brutal crash, and starting stage 10 it misses another rider. Marius Mayrhofer, key leadout man for Alberto Dainese and an option himself for hilly days, has left the Corsa Rosa with an illness.

“It’s a shame to leave the race and the team after only 9 days. I will cheer for them from home," the German said in a message shared by Tudor. Mayrhofer has been suffering from gastrointestinal problems for a few days and ultimately it was not possible to continue the race beyond the first rest day.
