After his shocking conviction for shooting the cat of the minister for tourism of San Marino, Antonio Tiberi's time racing for Trek - Segafredo may be cut short, at least according to the latest reports.
La Gazzetta dello Sport are reporting that the American based team may be preparing to cut all ties with Tiberi following his conviction. “Talks are currently underway and the possibility of an early termination of the contract is on the table," the newspaper claims.
Tiberi's current contract is due to run until the end of the 2024 campaign although it's believed that should Trek bring the former world junior time trial champion's deal to a premature end there will be many teams willing to look past his transgressions and offer him a way back into the peloton.
