The
Tour of Slovakia has seen its second stage on the road today and with a few climbs on the menu, there were once again a few attacks, but the same outcome. Everyone was brought together in time for a sprint, where
Paul Magnier took his second win in as many days.
The
Soudal - Quick-Step rider was the one who benefited from the peloton's work to bring back the attack of Paul Double and Bart Lemmen which looked to stir the GC race, linking up together with breakaway survivor Luca van Gils.
But the attacking duo were caught with 16 kilometers to go by a reduced peloton and a few late attacks didn't succeed. In the yellow jersey, the French sprinter rode to a strong and convincing win, beating Lukas Kubis and Milan Menten to the line.
