The 2025
Tour de Luxembourg takes place from Wednesday the
17th September to the 21st of September 2025. In 2024,
the race was won by Antonio Tiberi, with Mathieu van der Poel and David Gaudu
rounding out the podium. We look at the final
startlist for the race in
this article.
First held in 1935, the Tour de Luxembourg has grown from a
small national competition into a well-regarded stage race on the European
calendar. Over the decades, winners such as Charly Gaul, Bernard Hinault and
Frank Vandenbroucke have added prestige to the event, while in recent years the
race has provided an important testing ground for riders targeting late-season
goals such as the world championships.
The course traditionally highlights Luxembourg’s varied
terrain, with rolling hills, technical climbs, and finishes that suit both
punchy classics specialists and general classification riders. The race’s
compact geography means fans are able to see the peloton multiple times in a
single stage, giving it a unique atmosphere compared with longer grand tours.
Luxembourg itself, known for its fortified old town and blend of French and
Germanic culture, provides a striking backdrop as the riders tackle narrow roads
and demanding climbs in front of passionate local crowds.
The race will feature riders including:
Richard Carapaz,
Brandon McNulty, Ethan Hayter,
Mattias Skjelmose, Marc Hirschi, Lennard Kämna,
Kasper Asgreen, Romain Grégoire, Stefan Bissegger, Søren Kragh Andersen, Ben
Healy, Tao Geoghegan Hart, Aurélien Paret-Peintre, Jhonatan Narváez, Andrea
Vendrame, Vincenzo Albanese, Rafał Majka, Tibor del Grosso and more.
