Ireland's Archie Ryan has won the second stage of the day at the Tour de l'Avenir as Matthew Riccitello shows signs of weakness and sees his race lead reduced.
Stage 7b had only 70 kilometers in length but were mostly in an uphill profile. The stage was attacked hard right from it's start with del Toro on the attack, however the action was left for the final ascent. There Archie Ryan attacked and went on to take a strong solo win. Isaac del Toro and Giulio Pellizzari have finished second and third, reducing the gap to Matthew Riccitello who arrived in the second chasing group.
