Medical Report and Fines - Tour de France 2022 stage 12

The Tour de France has seen it's final day in the Alps today, as the peloton climbed three mythical passes en route to Alpe d'Huez, where Tom Pidcock attacked to the win from a successful breakaway, and Tadej Pogacar tried to dislodge the Jumbo-Visma mountain train - unsuccessfully.

The day saw two long descents and a tense start which have seen the following riders in the day's medical report:

(155) Hugo Hofstetter - Epistaxis.

(152) Warren Barguil - Multiple road rash on the right elbow and right hip.

As for the day's fines, they were given to:

(131) Alexey Lutsenko - Refueling not authorized in the last 5 kilometers. 200CHF fine and 20 seconds in overall classification; Astana Qazaqstan Team DS Alexandr Shefer - Fine 1000CHF.

(61) Enric Mas - Urinating in public. 300CHF fine.

TotalEnergies DS Benoit Genauzeau - Non-compliance with marshal's intructions. 500CHF fine.

Both UAE Team Emirates and Jumbo-Visma missed the signature check at the start of today's stage. Fines have been given to the following:

Fine of 500CHF and penalty of 15 UCI points for every rider mentioned above.
