Tom Pidcock has been having a very strong season on the road this year, albeit slightly stained by a modest Giro d'Italia. However his achievements in Mountain Biking, specially the Olympic Games, have turned him into one of Great Britain's most prestigious and awarded riders of all time. This week has been appointed as an OBE.
Pidcock has been appointed as an officer of the most excellent order of the British Empire, a prestigious award given out to people of great notoriety. In the recent past, riders such as Chris Froome, Bradley Wiggins and Mark Cavendish have also been awarded with the same after their achievements mostly at the Tour de France.
Pidcock in the meantime has reached this through a different path, now that in Paris he has become Olympic Champion in mountain biking for the second consecutive time.
