Other names revealed to be heading to Singapore include such notable figures from
Tour de France history as the likes of four time Maillot Jaune winner
Chris Froome. In the 2010s, Froome was the spearhead of the dominant Team Sky train, taking the aforementioned four Maillot Jaunes, plus a pair of Vuelta a Espana victories and a Giro d'Italia.
One of the only riders that managed to break through the Team Sky stranglehold and taste success at the
Tour de France during that decade was
Vincenzo Nibali and the 'Shark of Messina' is also set to be in action in Singapore, temporarily returning to the peloton for this special occasion.
Completing the list of the four big name attractions is the recently crowned Vuelta a Espana champion
Primoz Roglic. Although a
Tour de France victory has always eluded the Slovenian, he now can look back on a record equalling 4th Vuelta victory, plus a Giro d'Italia from 2023.
"The last dance for Cav," the
Tour de France's official social media pages announce. "Alongside Tour legends as Froome, Roglic and Nibali, the third edition of the Tour de France Prudential
Singapore Criterium will taste like a final challenge for
Mark Cavendish. See you on November 10!"
