Tadej Pogacar skips Bretagne Classic and focuses preparation on Il Lombardia

Tadej Pogacar has had a very busy spring and summer and after the World Championships he took a break. Initially, the Slovenian was expected to return to racing at the Bretagne Classic, but that plan has been postponed.

In order to have rested and then slowly begin building his form once again, Pogacar opted to drop out of the French classic where UAE Team Emirates will already be heavily represented. It is very possible that he will be in action at the Canadian classics or the European championships before focusing on the Italian Autumn Classics, however all signs point towards an attempt at winning a third Il Lombardia in a row.
