The crash on the approach to the finish line in Tarragona continues to claim victims and the latest is Movistar Team's Portuguese rider Rúben Guerreiro. The team has confirmed that the Portuguese rider suffers a broken collarbone after crashing in the fourth stage and will not be able to continue in the race.
"As a result of the fall suffered yesterday by Ruben Guerreiro during the course of stage 4 of La Vuelta, the Portuguese rider suffers a fractured left collarbone and will not start today's race," the Spanish team announced.
