Trek-Segafredo has signed with Mathias Vacek. He will ride for the team till 2025.
"I really can't wait to pin a shirt number on my Trek-Segafredo jersey and show what I can do. I'm looking forward to having a great time on this new adventure," Vacek said.
The Czech rider used to compete for Gazprom-RusVelo, but following the Russian invasion of Ukraine, Gazprom-RusVelo was suspended, and Vacek was without a team. During his stay with Gazprom, he won a stage in UAE Tour.
He also won the first stage in Course de la Paix Grand Prix Jeseníky and National Championships Czech Republic U23. He secured silver in European Continental Championships U23. "The proximity and support of Trek-Segafredo has been crucial for me in recent months. The attention from the team was a big boost to keep me motivated. It will soon be my turn to pay that back," concluded Vacek.
