Stage 1 of 2024 Baloise Belgium Tour halted temporarily due medical emergency

The stage 1 individual time-trial at the 2024 Baloise Belgium Tour has been neutralised momentarily after a medical emergency for a fan, saw ambulances flying through the course.

It is being reported that a fan at the roadside has suffered a cardiac arrest. In truth not much else is yet known about the situation, although riders are preparing to iminently return to emerging down the start ramp. Currently in the hot seat with the fastest time in the time-trial is Lidl-Trek's Mathias Vacek.
