Spanish revelation Roger Adrià sure to move into BORA - hansgrohe

The Kern Pharma team has confirmed that its star rider, Roger Adrià, will not remain with the Barcelona-based squad next season. What was an open secret is now official and the Catalan rider will ride for a UCI WorldTour team in 2024.

Adrià, 25, has been a professional since 2020 and achieved his first triumph in the elite of international cycling by winning the second stage of the Route d'Occitanie in 2022. This year to date he has managed to be seventh in the Muscat Classic, fifth in the Gran Premio Miguel Induráin, third in the Grand Besançon Doubs, sixth in the Tour du Doubs and 12th in the Flèche Wallonne. In the Vuelta a Asturias he finished sixth overall.

Juanjo Oroz, the manager of Kern Pharma, has confirmed his departure: "Roger Adrià is a person who every day gives his best for the Kern Pharma Team and that is a source of pride for us. A cyclist who came to our team at the age of 18 and has not only reached the professional level, but has managed to win and be far ahead in WorldTour races."

"It is a success story, because we are doing something right when our riders arouse so much interest among the best teams in the world. It ratifies that our philosophy of taking care of the base with Team Finisher is the right one and the one we want."
