It’s not about numbers, it’s about Character. Top 10 en la etapa y la GC que después de todo para mi es una pequeña gran victoria. Mañana última etapa, volvemos a casa y a seguir entrenando.
It seems that Egan Bernal is finally being able to have a bit of continuity in the 2023 season and that is being reflected in his performance and his results. After having completed a great Tour de Hongrie, the INEOS Grenadiers rider faces a new European event at the end of May.
Egan will participate in the Tour of Norway between May 26 and 29. It is a race with short climbs in which the Colombian will be able to continue testing himself and teaching his directors that he can reach the Tour de France in good shape or, ultimately, the Vuelta a España.
After suffering a fall that almost cost him his life at the beginning of 2022, he began this campaign with enthusiasm in the Vuelta a San Juan, but a fall caused him to delay all his preparation for several weeks.
He returned in the Volta a Catalunya, where he also suffered another misfortune. However, since Itzulia everything has gone better for him since he has been able to complete 3 laps in stages. The aforementioned Itzulia Basque Country, in which he dedicated himself to riding at the back of the peloton to pick up the pace.
In his last two races, the Tour de Romandie and the Tour de Hongrie, he has managed to finish in the Top 10. He finished eighth in the tough stage of Thyon 2000 on Swiss soil and in Hungary he has run on offense showing very good feelings. There is no doubt that he is going up.
It’s not about numbers, it’s about Character. Top 10 en la etapa y la GC que después de todo para mi es una pequeña gran victoria. Mañana última etapa, volvemos a casa y a seguir entrenando.
