Results GP de Fourmies 2026 - Arvid de Kleijn strikes in crash-marred finale as Paul Magnier and Olav Kooij miss out completely

Arvid de Kleijn claimed victory at the 2026 GP de Fourmies, launching his sprint with 200 metres remaining to take his second win in the French one-day race.
The Tudor Pro Cycling Team sprinter beat Tobias Muller of Unibet Rose Rockets into second place, with Ethan Vernon completing the podium for NSN Cycling Team. Pavel Bittner and Matteo Moschetti rounded out the top five.
A crash hit the peloton with around 400 metres remaining, shortly before De Kleijn launched his winning sprint. The Dutchman nevertheless emerged at the front inside the final 200 metres and held his advantage through to the line.
The victory marked a return to the top step in Fourmies for De Kleijn, who had previously won the race in 2024, ahead of Gerben Thijssen and Soren Waerenskjold. Paul Magnier had succeeded him as champion in 2025.
Muller produced one of the standout results of the day in second, while Vernon secured third ahead of Bittner, Moschetti and Giovanni Lonardi. Alexander Konijn, Gerben Thijssen, Robbe Ghys and Tim Marsman completed the top 10.

Late attacks neutralised before sprint finish
The final lap had seen several attempts to disrupt the expected sprint. Jonas Abrahamsen attacked with around 14 kilometres remaining before Lionel Taminiaux went clear shortly afterwards. Taminiaux was still eight seconds ahead with five kilometres to race, but the peloton closed him down before the finale.
Another attack followed from Van Rysel Roubaix inside the final four kilometres, although the race was back together with three kilometres remaining. Uno-X Mobility then moved four riders to the front, with Waerenskjold pulling at around 2.4 kilometres to go.
Soudal - Quick-Step had also appeared at the head of the peloton with four riders earlier in the closing kilometres as defending champion Paul Magnier remained among the leading pre-race favourites.
The main breakaway had been neutralised considerably earlier. Javier Serrano, Leandre Huck, Theo Delacroix, Brem Deman and Noah Ramsay had formed the principal move of the race, with Serrano, Huck and Delacroix still holding 46 seconds with around 41 kilometres remaining.
That advantage was eventually erased before the final two laps, opening the way for the succession of late attacks before the peloton came back together once more for the sprint. De Kleijn ultimately proved fastest, reclaiming the GP de Fourmies title two years after his first victory in the race.
