Primoz Roglic: "I see myself cycling at the highest level for at least another four years"

With a lot of retirements in the 2022 season and the quick emergence of a young generation of riders who soar to the top of cycling very early on, Primoz Roglic was asked of his opinion on his level in World Tour. His response issued a lot of confidence.

Amidst such chaos in the 2022 season, he was asked by Wielerflits if he planned on staying in the peloton for many years. "Secure. Why not? It's not about the result, but about the efforts you put in to achieve this goal. I see myself cycling at the highest level for at least another four years. Valverde, Nibali… they are all riders who have achieved great performances at an older age. Why couldn't I?" he responded.

“I still enjoy cycling enough. The hard workouts are not sacrifices for me. I still enjoy the hard work towards a goal. The spark to get the most out of my career, to do everything for it, is still there," Roglic concluded.

The 33-year old continues to aim high as he revealed in the interview to still be seeking wins at the Tour de France, Giro d'Italia and World Championships. His exact goals are to be determined in the coming months as he resumes training.
