Profiles. On the 26th and 27th of July takes place the Vuelta a Castilla y Leon, a race which serves as the final warm-up for the Clásica San Sebastián and is one of the many Spanish races that take place in the run-up to the Vuelta a Espana.
Stage 1 takes place from Garray to Soria. It's not a long stage, but one that features plenty climbing from start to finish. Two longer ascents early in the day, but the second half features more explosive terrain. Close to the finish the riders find a ramp of 900 meters at 8% and then a drag to the line.
The second and final day of racing is another very tricky and open one. Slightly longer, the 186 kilometers from Coca to Segovia again see two long but not overly hard climbs where the race can be attacked. The roads are then mostly downhill and flat into the line, so the two ascents (8.4Km; 6.7% and 11.3Km at 5.7%) might prove key to the decision of the race.
