One of Spain's most recently created races, O Gran Camiño, has had very reputable winners in recent years and the 2025 throws up some surprises. The Galician race will start in Portugal, and take place from the 26th of February to the 2nd of March. We preview stage 5.
The general classification will be decided on the last day of the race, with another very demanding stage of 166.5 km. There will be two climbs to the Alto de Lampai, and three 'sterrato' sections before the finish in Santiago de Compostela.
Prediction O Gran Camiño 2025 stage 5:
*** Magnus Cort Nielsen, Eric Fagundez
** Derek Gee, Carlos Canal, Thomas Pesenti
* Maxime Decomble, Rémy Rochas, Andreas Kron, Johannes Kulset, Mauri Vansevenant, Urko Berrade, Iván Cobo, Martin Marcellusi, Sergio Chumil, David Piganzoli, Cesar Macias
Pick: Magnus Cort Nielsen
How: Maybe a boring choice, but even in an explosive finale he will likely win because the form is great and so is the team.
