On the 18th of September the peloton in Belgium will tackle one of it's most iconic classics. It is the day of the GP de Wallonie, the famous one-day races which finishes atop the Citadelle de Namur. We preview the race.
The race will be 202.5 kilometers within the Wallonie region of Belgium and is one for the puncheurs and classics riders. It's not a brutal race but one that features small climbs from start to finish. In the finale there will be two sharp hilltops only a few kilometers before the final ascent to the Citadelle de Namur - a mostly-cobbled climb with several switchbacks where usually we have got a spectacular finale.
