PREVIEW | Classic Grand Besançon Doubs 2023

Preview. On the 14th of April the French peloton takes on the first of two classics in the Jura. The first is the Tour du Doubs, a race that is suited to the puncheurs and climbers and is a rare case of a classic ending with a summit finish.

Throughout over 200 kilometers the riders take on a hilly race. There are several ascents throughout the day however this year the race will certainly be decided in the summit finish at Le Larmont. The climb is 6.4 kilometers at 5.4%, it has several switchbacks and is suited to attacks, it's one for the climbers but not too difficult for some puncheurs to survive and have an opportunity.

Estimated start and finish times for Tour du Doubs: 11:45-16:20CET.
