As the
Tour de France gets underway, teams have begun
unveiling new equipment designed to squeeze out every possible advantage. Among
the latest tech on display is a prototype Factor bike being used by Israel –
Premier Tech.
At the start line of the race today, CyclingUpToDate
captured images of the machine assigned to
Matis Louvel, the 25-year-old French
rider making his third appearance at the Tour.
The unnamed aero model is the same type of bike that Jake
Stewart rode to victory in a stage of last month’s Critérium du Dauphiné, and
several of the Israel – Premier Tech riders will be using this bike throughout
the next three weeks. Notable features include a strikingly deep bayonet-style
fork, a scalloped seat tube, and a nearly vertical seat post. The setup is
completed with in-house Black Inc 62mm wheels and Continental GP5000 TT tyres.
Will the bike we able to deliver a stage win for the team this July?
