Pello Bilbao puts the blame on UAE Team Emirates for the Jebel Jais stage: "No team is going to help them"

Pello Bilbao is one of the favorites to win the first mountain stage of the UAE Tour 2024 that will finish on the very long climb to Jebel Jais. The Spaniard from Bahrain Victorious starts the day seventh overall, 18 seconds behind leader Brandon McNulty.

Before the start he was asked by Eurosport colleagues if he thinks he can beat UAE Team Emirates, which right now has the top three in the general classification plus Adam Yates. Pello takes the positive side of that, they are not going to work:

"It's difficult, but now they have all the responsibility, no team is going to help them because they are too strong so far, they are dominating the race with a big lead, they will have to control it until the end."
