The Dutch national championships had it's men's Elite race today in Drenthe, with a hilly circuit that favoured the classics riders. Jumbo-Visma's Pascal Eenkhoorn had shown great form recently and has taken the most important win of his career as he crossed the line first and became the new Dutch champion.
The 25-year old will be having the country's stripes on his chest for the next 12 months, as he beat Daan Hoole who had joined him in a late move, from a large group that spent most of the race clear from the main peloton. Taco van der Hoorn completed the podium.
