Ben Turner is one of the riders in the peloton with the least luck over this spring. He's crashed and suffered a broken elbow at Omloop Het Nieuwsblad, but managed to return in time for the big goals of the spring. However, the
INEOS Grenadiers is once again out with injury as he crashed out of the
Tour of Flanders.
Caught up in the mass crash before the first ascent of the Oude Kwaremont, Turner was one of the worst affected. He had recently returned to racing at the E3 Saxo Classic still with medical stripes over his former injury. He had shown good form in support of Filippo Ganna, and was an outsider for Flanders. His race ended before the climbs however, as he took a tumble and following a trip to the hospital he has been confirmed to suffer a radial fracture to the left arm.
