Official: Tour de France winner Jonas Vingegaard returns to racing tomorrow at Cro Race

It was a long time away from racing, but Jonas Vingegaard is finally set to return to the peloton. The Tour de France champion has undergone extensive physical and mental fatigue following his Tour win, and has skipped several races in the months following.

However, after some training and recovery of form, the Dane will return to competition at the Cro Race from tomorrow onwards, where he will have six days of racing and some mountain challenges ahead of him. He should be a big figure in the race, and is also looking to build towards Il Lombardia.

The race will also feature Milan Vader, returning to competition after suffering serious injuries back in April at the Itzulia Basque Country, making this a very important comeback race for both. Koen Bouwman is also expected to be in the fight for the overall classification. Gijs Leemreize, Jos van Emden, Timo Roosen and Lennard Hofstede complete the lineup.

Jumbo-Visma for Cro Race: Jonas Vingegaard, Jos van Emden, Gijs Leemreize, Milan Vader, Koen Bouwman, Timo Roosen and Lennard Hofstede.
