After four years of absence, the National Road Cycling Championship returns to the calendar. Among his most outstanding achievements are the overall victories in the Vuelta a Burgos, the Tour of Austria and the Giro della Toscana, as well as victories in prestigious Italian classics such as the Giro dell'Emilia, the Gran Piemonte, the GP Industria & Artigianato, the Giro del Veneto, the Coppa Sabatini and the Milano-Torino. He also won a stage in the Giro d'Italia, where he finished second in the overall classification.
