Haig moves away from
Bahrain - Victorious after five seasons. After having moved away from Team Jayco AlUla, he found his best legs with the Bahraini team, achieving a podium at the 2021 Vuelta a España. He was a strong stage-racer in his prime, but since the 2022 season, his performance hasn't been as high. This year he failed to make an impact in the World Tour and suffered a concussion in a crash at the Tour de France which took him out. He now signs a two-year deal with the British team.
“I’m really excited to be joining the
INEOS Grenadiers. It’s a team I’ve followed closely since it started, and they’ve achieved so many great things in their history," Haig said. "To now be part of one of the best and most ambitious teams in the world, known for its professionalism and extremely high standards, is something I’m super proud of".
This move could spark Haig's season back up once again, and the British team gains another climber towards its block. “I can’t wait to get the season started, meet my new teammates, and play my part in challenging for future successes. I’m also looking forward to supporting some of the talented young guys who’ve joined the team," he concluded.
