Michal Kwiatkowski had to forfeit the race due to an injury but filling in his shoes are some very big figures. The experienced
Geraint Thomas and
Ben Swift will likely be the riders who will take hold of the younger riders during the first 250 kilometers of the race, but once the race enters the hills everyone will have to be at the top of their game to really hang on with the pace that is expected.
They will be joined by
Tobias Foss who is just out of a formidable Paris-Nice where he ended in the Top10 but simultaneously played a very important support role for Thymen Arensman and was a key part of Magnus Sheffield's victory on the final day.
Axel Laurance,
Ben Turner and
Connor Swift, all riders who have shown good form early in the year in some way or another have shown good form. The race will take place this Saturday, March 22.
