Neilson Powless wants to defend the polka dot jersey at all costs: "We want to keep this jersey until Paris"

Neilson Powless brings Polka Dot jersey through another day. Stage 7 was not a really dangerous one for the leader of KOM classification who took a 'day off' at the back of peloton. The 26-year old doesn't have to worry much about the next stage as larger sum of points will not come into play sooner than at the finish of stage 9 with HC climb, the Puy de Dome.

"My day was really nice. I tried to take it as easy as possible and stay of trouble as long as it was easy to stay in the wheel. I didn’t suffer to much because of the heat. We have been lucky this year compared to the previous years. Sitting on wheels, relaxing, it has not been too bad. Sports directors don’t tell me what they want me to do until the morning. They want to keep it as secret… And we want to keep this jersey until Paris."
