Nairo Quintana did not have his dream debut with the
Movistar Team jersey in the Tour Colombia. He suffered respiratory problems during the race that made him unable to perform at his best level, so he could not shine in front of his compatriots.
Then, he announced that he was suffering from coronavirus, so he had to postpone his European debut in O Gran Camiño. Now, once recovered, he has traveled to the old continent where he is already training with his teammates Antonio Pedrero and Nelson Oliveira as we have seen in a couple of photos posted on his Instagram account.
At the moment we don't know when Nairo will make his European debut of the year in view of his first big goal of 2024: the Giro d'Italia. Nothing to worry about regarding his form. He just missed a few days of training because of COVID, but we must remember that other riders like Tadej Pogacar who will compete in the Corsa Rosa have not yet made their debut this season.
