Uno-X Mobility were active over the recent off-season, bringing in four new riders in an attempt to bolster their ranks ahead of a potential World Tour promotion by the end of the 2025 season. For General Manager Thor Hushovd, the excitement levels have been raised by one winter signing in particular.
"We have some new names this year. I have some good expectations, especially from the Danish rider Andreas Kron. Also, Amund Grøndahl Jansen is an interesting signing, but Andreas Kron is one of our main new signings for the 2025 season," the legendary sprinter says in an official press release. "So my goal and the team goal is to get him up to his level and take new steps for this coming season. I will not be surprised if he wins some nice races. And maybe he's the first ever, winner of a stage in the Tour de France for Uno-X Mobility. Why not?"
In the same press release, Kron himself, having moved from Lotto to join Uno-X Mobility, also spoke excitedly about his goals for the coming campaign. "My move to Uno-x mobility feels like coming home," the 26-year-old Dane begins warmly. "The person that is going to look iron in this team. I think for sure Jonas Abrahamsen is just getting stronger and stronger, but I think everyone knows. It's super nice to be back on Ridley. I'm just feeling good on it. Comfortable! And really, the new bike is super fast. So I'm really happy to be back on Ridley."
Although Hushovd spoke of potential Tour de France success, a wildcard to cycling's biggest race in 2025 is still yet to be officially announced. There clearly is a sense of expectation among the team however. "Tour de France ends one day before my birthday. Hopefully I can be there and celebrate with the team," says Rasmus Tiller for example, with Soren Waerenskjold also mentioning the French Grand Tour: "My goal is to get a top five in Paris-Roubaix, to become the National champion of TT and hopefully win the Belgium tour again. We will see how it goes. But those are my main goals and of course the Tour de France, if we get invited, but we don't know yet, so hopefully we do."
