Matteo Trentin holds the hopes of UAE Team Emirates at Brabantse Pijl

UAE Team Emirates have unveiled their lineup for Brabantse Pijl. 33-year-old Italian, Matteo Trentin, who finished on the podium of the race back in 2021, is the man entrusted to lead to hopefully lead the team to victory.

As mentioned, Trentin finished third in 2021 just two seconds behind the eventual winner Tom Pidcock and runner-up Wout van Aert. For this edition, Trentin will be supported by a strong team and must surely be considered among the favourites for the win.

24-year-old Danish rider Mikkel Bjerg will be making his first appearance at Brabantse Pijl, Sjoerd Bax, fresh off the back of his 13th placed finish at Paris-Roubaix will be alongside. Former top 10 Brabantse Pijl finisher Alessandro Covi, South African Ryan Gibbons, former Tour de France stage winner Marc Hirschi and the experienced Norweigian Vegard Stake Laengen round off the team.
