Marianne Vos won the sixth stage in the Giro d'Italia Donne held on Wednesday, making it her 32nd stage victory in the tour. The Dutchwoman was the fastest to cross the finish ahead of Lotte Kopecky.
There were some attempts to create a breakaway, but it remained futile. Francesca Pisciali (Mendelspeck) did try to create some distance, and later Lucinda Brand (Trek-Segafredo) and Kristen Faulkner (BikeExchange-Jayco) also tried. But the peloton soon caught up to them.
