Magnus Cort was previously linked to Uno-X by Danish and Norwegian media on a deal, that now seems to be sealed. For the remainder of his contract with American team EF Education-EasyPost, the 30-year old Dane should enjoy a free role in most races.
The experienced Cort was very successful in American service in recent years. He won no less than four stages at La Vuelta a España, a stage at Tour de France and this year he was the best in stage 10 of the Giro d'Italia. After four seasons with Jonathan Vaughters' team, the versatile rider will now go on a new adventure at Uno-X.
Uno-X, Cort's new employer, has been developing steadily in recent years. The formation is now one of the best 23 teams in the world and is preparing for a first-ever participation in the Tour de France. At the next WorldTour cycle in 2026, team manager Jens Haugland's troops want to push through to the highest level.
With Andreas Leknessund, Haugland finally has his dream leader for Grand Tours. Other strong riders within the team are Alexander Kristoff, Rasmus Tiller and talents such as Søren Wærenskjold, Stian Fredheim and the Johannessen twins.
