It's been five years since
Mads Pedersen's upset world title in the rainy Harrogate. Since then Denmark has been always in the mix for another big result, if not victory, but few things still need to connect to make that happen. Pedersen admits that having
Jonas Vingegaard join him and his Lidl-Trek teammate Mattias Skjelmose for the climby race in Zurich would've made a thing or two easier. However, he admits, convincing the soon-to-be father for the second time to leave family behind and make the trip to Switzerland is not easy, if even possible.
"I have been in contact with him a little. I try to push him a little bit. I would really like to have Jonas with me at the
World Championships," says Mads Pedersen to
Ekstra Bladet.
