Lorena Wiebes continues to make history as she wins fourth consecutive Scheldeprijs

The fourth edition of the women's Scheldeprijs was won by the sole rider who has won this race. Lorena Wiebes has won for the fourth consecutive time and remains the only rider to win this race, beating Charlotte Kool as was the case in 2023.

A fast day on the bike with a lot of wind, the breakaway took a long time to be formed as many riders attempted to make the move. Anneke Dijkstra ended up being the sole member off the front throughout many kilometers, and she was joined by Wilma Aintila - who attacked from the peloton - with 25 kilometers to go.

The duo was very dangerous and carried a meaningful gap into the final kilometers, only being caught just outside the final kilometer. The large amount of crashes certainly hit the possibilities of the chasing in the peloton succeeding. But ultimately a bunch sprint was to take place in Schoten.

Team DSM - Firmenich PostNL did a strong leadout but Charlotte Kool was ultimately not capable of matching Lorena Wiebes in the final sprint. The Team SD Worx - ProTime rider was the fastest towards the finish line, beating Kool.
