Elizabeth Deignan took a break from cycling last year to focus on her second child. Now the
Paris-Roubaix winner has revealed she will remain out of action for another four months.
Deignan recently held a Q&A session on Instagram where she answered questions on her future plans. "The conservative plan is to start racing again in May, so no Paris-Roubaix. But you never know. It's still a few months before April," said Deignan.
She further added, "Recovery is taking longer this time. Shea was a more difficult baby to carry, so during my pregnancy, I was less able to maintain my fitness. And since she was born, we have had a lot of illness in the family." She last participated in The
Women's Tour in 2021.
