Lidl-Trek set to sign rider who just finished top ten at the Tour de France - French climber reportedly on the move as transfer window set to open

Jordan Jegat is reportedly on the move as two reports indicate that he is on the verge of joining Lidl-Trek off the back of his strong showing at the 2026 Tour de France - finishing in tenth place overall.
The TotalEnergies climber made it two 10th place finishes at La Grand Boucle in a row this month, and was active in both breakaways and general classification battles on his way to the finish.
With the transfer market to officially open this weekend, and teams formally allowed to announce new signings for the 2027 season, Jegat could be one of Lidl-Trek's big name acquisitions to bolster their Grand Tour GC roster.
Daniel Benson, as well as Wielerflits, have reported that the French rider is set to join on a three-year deal after riding for the ProTeam for three seasons since moving up from Continental level.
In 2026, Jegat his first professional victory in the Classic Grand Besançon Doubs and has taken numerous podium finishes over recent seasons.

Jegat is expected to be among new arrivals such as Felix Gall and and Gregor Mühlberger, with the Decathlon CMA CGM duo also reported to be heading to Andy Schleck's structure over winter.
The news comes as a blow to the French team, who rode their last Tour of their current era under the iconic sponsor's banner for the last time. The team's future remains in doubt for next season as they fight to secure funding in the form of a new title sponsor.
Lidl-Trek enjoyed a successful Tour as Mads Pedersen won the green jersey and took a stage win. On the general classification front, Mattias Skjelmose and Juan Ayuso finished sixth and seventh place respectively as they missed out on a top five.
With the likes of Derek Gee-West and Giulio Ciccone among their current ranks with capabilities of challenging for general classification, their aggressive transfer policy is expected to see them bolster their climbing support for the coming season.
