Lazkano, Aranburu and Cortina lead Spain at Glasgow World Championship

The Spanish Cycling Federation has announced the riders who will represent Spain at the Glasgow 2023 World Championships in both the online race on August 6 and the time trial on August 11;

Oier Lazkano, the current Spanish champion, will double and participate in both the road race and the time trial. The Movistar Team rider will be joined by his teammates Iván García Cortina, Alex Aranburu and Gonzalo Serrano, Cofidis riders Jesús Herrada and Ion Izagirre, Burgos BH rider Jesús Ezquerra and Kern Pharma's Roger Adriá;

This is how the Federation explained the call: "The choice of the cyclists has been made taking into account the characteristics of the route and understanding the situation of different riders who have shone in the current campaign, but who have as an imminent objective their presence in the Vuelta a España or require a period of rest after performing at a high level in the Tour de France".
