Kopecky tops medal haul at Glasgow World Championships with 3x gold and 1x silver; 10 riders in total take home multiple medals

The 'super' Glasgow World Championships have now been completed with Rainbow Jerseys handed out in various different cycling disciplines. With all said and done, no rider was more successful than Belgian superstar, Lotte Kopecky.

Taking home a grand total of four World Championship medals with her, three of them gold, Kopecky was the standout rider of the games. Impressive also about the 26-year-old's performance is the fact that her medals came across two disciplines, winning two titles on the track and most recently, the women's elite road race on Sunday.

American track star Jennifer Valente, Italian Filippo Ganna and New Zealand's Aaron Gate were the only other riders at the championships to claim more than two medals. Valente taking a pair of golds and a bronze, Ganna a gold and two silvers and Gate a gold and two bronzes.

Pauline Ferrand-Prevot, Elinor Barker, Chloe Dygert and Albert Philipsen will all travel home with two gold medals in their luggage whilst Samuel Gaze and Tom Pidcock round out the list of multiple medal winners.
