Koen Bouwman wins fourth stage of Tour of Slovakia

Jumbo Visma rider Koen Bouwman has won the fourth stage of the Tour of Slovakia. He beat Luca Colnaghi in the final sprint and secured his stage win. This is his third victory in this season.

The breakaway included Adam Stachowiak (HRE Mazowsze Serce Polski), Diego Pablo Sevilla (EOLO - Kometa), Lennard Hofstede (Jumbo - Visma), Michael Belleri, Ricardo Ciuccarelli (2x Biesse - Carrera), Gleb Syritsa (Astana - Qazaqstan), Jefferson Cepeda (Caja Rural - Seguros RGA), Charles-Étienne Chrétien (Human Powered Health), Kristjan Hočevar (Adria Mobil) and Norbert Banaszek (HRE Mazowsze Serce Polski).

The group enjoyed a lead of over 2 minutes for some 100 kilometers but the peloton caught with the breakaway 56 kilometers before the finish line. In the end, the Jumbo Visma rider Koen Bouwman took the victory. Luca Colnaghi tried his best but failed to outsprint the Jumbo Visma rider and finished second. Roel van Sintmaartensdijk took the bronze.
