Jumbo-Visma rider finished the stage ahead of his teammate
Rohan Dennis and
Will Barta of Movistar Team who finished third.
The O Gran Camiño race ended with an 18.1 km individual time trial in Santiago, a bit tricky time trial with some climbs, Rohan Dennis without surprise achieved a good time and was in the lead of the time trial as soon he finished.
Of the better-positioned GC riders, Will Barta did a very good time that made him second only behind Rohan Dennis, until Jonas Vingegaard appeared. Vingegaard secured his first-ever professional victory in the ITT discipline. The Dane finished 35 seconds faster than Rohan Dennis and almost caught the rider who started the ITT before him, Ruben Guerreiro.
Jonas Vingegaard secured 3 consecutive wins and the overall classification with a comfortable lead ahead of 2.31 minutes ahead of Jesus Herrada (Team Cofidis) and 2.48 minutes ahead of Ruben Guerreiro (Movistar Team). Vingegaard also took the mountain's jersey being the best climber in the race. Sebastian Schonberger (Human Powered Health) won the point's jersey thanks to the points he took in the intermediate sprints while being in a breakaway. Lukas Nerurkar of Trinity cycling won the youth's jersey.
