Jonas Vingegaard and Wout van Aert's Tour de France bikes up for auction

A number of bikes that were crucial to the team's success this season are being auctioned off by Jumbo-Visma. The auction proceeds will help develop cycling talent.

An iconic bike among them is Jonas Vingegaard's Cervélo R5. R5 was used on mountain stages during the tour. “This bicycle was part of my biggest achievement in cycling to date. I’m very grateful that I started this Tour de France in Denmark and returned to Copenhagen with a yellow jersey. This bike has left a lasting legacy,” said Vingegaard.

Wout van Aert's S5, which he used in the Tour de France, is also up for auction. Online auctions offer a variety of famous bikes such as Marianne Vos' bike used in Tour de France Femmes, Primoz Roglic's R5 used in the tour, Tom Dumoulin's Final Grand Tour bike, a Cervélo R5 and Koen Bouwman's R5 bicycle.

The auction will be held from the 8th to the 19th of December. All auction proceeds will go toward developing cycling talent. "At Jumbo-Visma, we support and develop various initiatives to spot and develop cycling talent. That's how we contribute to the future of cycling in the Netherlands, and this auction helps us take the next step,” concluded team boss Richard Plugge.
