Jesús Herrada and Bryan Coquard to lead Cofidis in Vuelta a Espana - "The main objective will be to fight to win stages"

Team Cofidis has revealed its team for Vuelta a Espana. The team counts on Jesús Herrada and Bryan Coquard to lead the team.

Bryan Coquard could not participate in Tour de France due to Covid-19, but now the rider can help his team in the season's third and final grand tour. He won a stage in the Star of Bessèges and the Tour de la Provence. Coquard will count on Davide Cimolai for support.

Jesus Herrada will lead the team in the mountain stages. This will be his fourth Vuelta a Espana. “The Vuelta has always been a very special race for me. It is an immense pleasure to be able to compete in the most prestigious event in his country, to feel the passion of the Spanish fans,” said Herrada.

Jesus will depend on his brother Jose Herrada and teammate Ruben Fernandez, Rémy Rochas for support.“Doing it with my brother José adds a very special feeling: there aren't many riders who can compete in a Grand Tour with their brother! The main objective will be to fight to win stages. We will take the days one after the other and try our luck to the fullest,” said Herrada. Davide Villella and newcomer Thomas Champion complete the squad.
