The inaugural edition of the first ever
Muscat Classic came down to a selective sprint with a group of around 30 riders sprinting for the win. Of that group Arkéa-Samsic rider
Jenthe Biermans was the fastest.
Some attacks occurred on the last difficulties of the race, but all the attackers were caught ending in a selective sprint. The Belgian rider of Arkéa-Samsic sprinted ahead of Francesco Busatto (Intermarché-Circus-Wanty) and
Andrea Vendrame (AG2R Citroën Team).
