After his move across from Jumbo-Visma at the end of last season, INEOS Grenadiers’ new signing Tobias Foss has been out on his second training camp with the team in their usual location of the Teide volcano on the island of Tenerife.
In an interview with INEOS Grenadiers, Foss said on the training camp that “we’ve been up here now for two weeks on Tenerife on altitude camp. It’s going super well, good weather, enjoying it. Today we have a well-needed rest day, so I think everyone is ready to enjoy an easy ride”.
The Norwegian rider also revealed that he will start his season at the UAE Tour later this month, in what will be his first appearance at the race in his career. Foss will be looking for a strong start to the season in order to impress his new team. In his first race of last season, he finished fourth overall at the Volta ao Algarve whilst riding for Jumbo-Visma, showing that he is capable of achieving good results in the early part of the season.
